Aug 10th...

The big day is here..We are moving the little red barn Dad built to Beth's..
Steve has been planing for months (maybe yrs) .Steve removed all the shingles.. they were old and he ,was afraid they would fly off in transit.
Steve had loaded the shed onto the trailer and left at Len and Vicki's the previous Saturday ...we got to their place at 9... got it hitched up... Len and Vicki were coming for the weekend  to celebrate Steve's 65th and Corny Day..Pat, Vonnie and Caela were also coming for the celebration....We had gone back and forth on wether to also bring the car and the decision was finally made that we would so I was driving too.
Steve had written out the route bypassing St Cloud... Steve took off first and we were about 5 mins behind him.. ... Steve stopped for Coffee in Cokato.. we all stopped to regroup... stopping again at a convenience store at the cty rd 37 turn off..got some snacks... I took over the lead then ...the next turn was cty 24... we got to Hwy 55, figuring I missed 24 ..I pulled over....apparently the map Steve used was incorrect.... Vicki took over the lead because she was familiar with the area her son and his family. lived in that direction......
we had to stop again right before Clear lake... we continued on and Vicki got us to hwy 23 in Foley... they stopped for gas ...our next planned stop is Hinckley so I continued on...
I got there and had time to let Murphy out ...Steve got there next and soon after Len and Vicki...Steve decided he would continue on everything was going well... the rest of us stopped to eat...

When we got to White Birch, Steve was sitting outside having a beer... So happy that trip was completed.
Len and Vicki pitched their tent..I unpacked the car.

Pat, Vonnie and Caela got checked in and came over.
Len encouraged Steve to get the starter put back into the mower so we could start mowing...
we walked over to the shed...P,V and C were walking back from there and told us to watch out for the poison Ivy...I was sure there wasn't any ...and pretty sure what they suspected to be poison Ivy was actually wild Strawberries.. which it was.

We pushed the mower out of the shed and Steve while putting the starter in annouced that it was a 50/50 chance the mower wouldn't start because the starter had checked out okay..... and sure enough it didn't start... he would work at disconnecting the safety switches tomorrow.. thinking maybe that was the problem...
Luckily Carl and the bulk of our land mowed and the East side of the driveway he had baled... so it looked really nice...now I wish I would have told him to mow the whole thing...

I gave Beth a call and she came over..she had the Hammock that we (Beth, me, Pat and Vonnie) were giving Steve for his Birthday..... she got her drill out and we went to the area and she installed it..

We brought Steve over to the hammock and he tried it out ...it was a perfect fit!

Caela gave Steve the present she got for him...a Bocci set... Vicki read the directions so we are ready to play!  Steve enjoys playing the game so happy he has one now!

The air was really getting cool...sweatshirt weather!  Love it!

We were all getting hungry and just leaving for The Port Bar for Pizza and Rocky rode up.. so he joined us... they have the best Pizza!

It was a great end to the day!
