Sunday August 12th
The fire embers were still burning when I got up so I put more wood on and had my tea outside in the crisp morning.. It wasn't long and everyone was up..well a couple hours.
Len was going to fix a Bloody Mary but no mix was left... I offered to make some juice with my dehydrated tomatoes I had along...he said thanks but no..it didn't sound that appealing to him.
I went in anyway to give it a try... added some spices to it ..Steve tried it and then Len did..it was a bit bland ...so I went in and added some Salsa... using my Blender stick which is one of my favorite kitchen tools!
The salsa hit the mark... so the 'boys' had their Bloody Mary's and Len did say later that it did taste pretty good...
We helped them take down their tent and then played a game of Bean bag toss.
I heated up the left over pizza from Friday night ..I put it in the oven...it was just the right amount for all of us...
Len and Vicki packed up their and and we all put on our swimsuits and on their way out out of town we were making some stops.
1st stop was Quarry Beach for a swim and bath... we did bring Murphy he loves the water!
The water was cold...a lot colder than when we were there last month...but we got in and Steve passed around his Castile soap... he warned everyone to be careful with it because it didn't float and he didn't want to lose it...even though it pure and not harmful to the environment...
We were getting ready to leave and he asked "who has the soap?" he was the last one to use it and we all looked out and in the distance floating in a baggy was the soap... he had dried off but went back in and retrieved it...we got a good laugh from that...
Our next stop was Beth and Rocky's..they had the shed situated in a great location ... they had planned to paint it green so it blended in with the scenery but now decided they liked it red and so after replacing some boards they would repaint it red...
We toured her gardens which all looked spectacular..

Len and Vicki left from there around 4pm...we sure had a fun time with them! Great friends!
We left for home and I went to the hammock and read..I am enjoying this Birthday gift too!
Steve was inside napping..I went in and laid down too...
When I got up I looked out the window and Carl and Patty were walking up the driveway... Rex didn't want to come ..he is afraid of bully Murphy... Steve got up and brought Murphy out on a leash...he did go after Rex so luckily he was leashed...Rex out weighs him by about 50#'s... and I know could clean his clock... but glad he refrains...
Carl had cut the lawn and the E side he had it baled... that was great! there was some confusion on what he charged us..or rather the amount of time it took him...Steve thought he told us 6 hrs but he said it only took him 3 1/2 which was good news...so maybe we can get it cut twice a year now...such a good neighbor!!
I think I will make him some socks..
After they left I had supper..Steve wasn't that hungry...he had a hot dog earlier..
an old western was on the radio ...Paladin...I vaguely remember it...then Coridyce Archer came on... from 1947...the yr before I was born... we listened for awhile then shut it off...pretty boring show... we actually spent the rest of the night in conversation...it was so nice ...darn TV has taken allot away from couples and families. connecting with each other.
I hope we don't even get a TV when we move here.
