House plans confirmed
Beth rearranged her schedule and was able to come along to see Randy at Wisconsin Homes...we are finalizing everything ... I was glad because I need help deciding on colors..Steve is no help...he just says he doesn't no..or whatever you think...but then will come and give a suggestion or make a comment that will throw me off and make me doubt my choice.
Before we got out of the car Steve warned me not to blurt out "oh well take it" when we are told the base price... you never just accept the price as it is given...Beth and I joked that i would just do that when we walked in...
we'll take it! We were nervous to hear what the final base price will be after giving all the extras we wanted... so were pleasantly surprised when it came in 2 grand less than the original base price...Randy had said he would throw in some extras ...and he sure did... but of course Steve was shocked too but still had to ask if that was the best he could do..Randy looked a bit deflated... we were going out to look at the models again with Beth ...and some people came in ..so we left that discussion until we came back in.
Beth really liked the model and it helped her visualized what the house would look like.
we went back and the couple that had come in was Randy's sister and nephew... we got busy picking out siding and carpet colors... and the counter tops and cupboard finish...it was so great having her there to help.
Randy and Steve dickered and there was a few hundred dollars and cents that Randy did shave off the bill...
I really liked the stainless sink under the counter and asked how much that would be and it was another $675... so I skipped it... we got things signed and money down and left.
We were hungry so stopped at Grandma's for lunch...I was thinking about trading my whirlpool tub for the below counter sink...but then decided no I'd keep it the way it was.
when we left there Steve told me to go ahead and order the sink...so I quickly called Randy and told him ...I am so lucky to have my wonderful husband.... he gets me agitated at times but he does have such a big heart!
we made a few more stops the last to Menards and then took hwy C to A to Z home instead of going back to 53...
wow...6 to 8 weeks the house could be here.... now to get the foundation guy picked out and scheduled.
