November 18th
50 degrees inside when I got up this morning at 4am.. not bad...it was toasty under the covers!
Murphy stayed in bed with Steve..he likes the change in rules letting him sleep on the bed...he was a good sleeping partner.
the string broke on the blinds in the "dining room"..i may take it down and re thread it...maybe...
Beth didn't stop last night..& today she works with Marissa so hopefully we will see her tonight...we need to go to Iron River and refill the propane tank.. but Steve was still sleeping so I went to Ruxy's for breakfast...since we weren't using the holding tank I needed to use the facilities there...
Laura remembered me and asked if we were keeping warm in the trailer.. talked to a guy who was going over to Rosewinkles to load up their sheep and llamas.. they are retiring from farming... finding out I was from Hutchinson he asked if I knew a Jim Deitz ... he said he had owned the Sales Barn... the name wasn't familiar and I told him Hotivecs have owned it for the last 15-20 yrs... either he was filling the guy with "you know what"... or I am I wrong...which does happen...once in awhile...I will have to investigate that one...
The coffee ladies came ..Lynn was there first and then a man the called Squirrel stopped to get coffee... he was funny...found out later from Beth that he and Lynn are married...
Betty and the rest of the ladies came in... I am looking forward to someday being one of them!
when I got back we left for Iron River..we got to the top of the hill on Arney Rd and my phone announced a voice mail..it was Beth and she wasn't working with Marrissa that day and was going to Duluth to bring her Computer in to Best Buy..and she wanted to know if we wanted to ride with..I did ...so we turned around ... Steve dropped me back off at home and he went to Iron River alone.
It turned out Beth's computer wasn't as bad off as she thought...it was just dust bunnies in the hard drive...they blew them out ..we then went shopping first stop was the Mall..then to Northwoods Outfitters in Superior..She found a pair of work boots, didn't buy them ..will check on line for a better price... stopped at Grizzly's for lunch, it had started snowing while we were in there...Beth got her oil changed and then went home...roads weren't bad..
Steve had gotten the ladder done...so Rocky could shovel off the roof w/o having to bring his own ladder along...
Beth stayed for awhile then left for home..it didn't snow much longer...we just got a dusting.
We had our Papa Murphy's for supper...into bed early!
