Margi's visit
I cleaned the night before at Moxie so had the morning to get ready and would get an earlier start but we still didn't get out of here until 10.
Murphy was unsure what we were doing in the truck instead of the car..the sun was on the passenger side and he was on the floor, I moved him to seat between us so we all could get benefits from the air vents. .this is a 90 GMC pickup.
The trailer with the riding lawnmower hauled beautifully behind the truck...Steve's brother, Al, had built it for the girls... he was so gifted mechanically.
we didn't make our normal stops but decided to stop and pick up a Sub in Danbury..only problem they don't have a Subway... so we looked for a bar to get hamburgers to go and didn't decide on one until we were almost to Superior... it was a perfect place to stop..it had a large grassy area for Murphy to run while we took turns going in and ordering... we decided to eat while we drove, we deicded to stop at the Bruile River canoe launching area to use the bathroom .While there I talked to a fly fisherman who was going down to fish... we walked down and enjoyed looking at the river... we have just seen it driving over the bridge and it really is fantastic. I love watching fly fisherman casting..there is just something so relaxing about it.
Just 15 miles to go and we were at White Birch ...Carl had gotten the grass mowed...it looked nice...
Got things unloaded ...turned on the A/C and noticed that rain had come in through the kitchen window and the counter end had warped ... Steve brought Caulk and will take care of the window and he said he can fix the counter.
I was feeling dizzy for some reason and had a cool cloth over my eyes... Steve said it was the sun beating down on me in the truck.
Beth stopped after she got off work. She looked so cute in her shorts and t-shirt #14 on the back.....that was her # on all her sport t-shirts in school.
She was tired and had to hook up a water heater the next day so left for home to relax.
We went over to get water at Patty's, Brought Murphy along. Rex this time didn't put up with his bratiness and let him have it..which was good.
we both were still full from our late lunch so skipped supper.
we checked out different locations for the trailers final move...then Murphy and I went to check out the pumpkins... luckily Jim Warnke had put sticks to mark where they were ...Carl still almost ran them over but saw them in the "nick" of time... they had blossoms and had grown significantly.
