may 7 Saturday afternoon
A young Mom was there on her Laptop. She was a a neighbor of Beth and Rocky's,-Dana .. her hubby was home with the kids so she could have some "mom" time..she let me check my e-mails.. So sweet!
Steve had moved to their Deck with Murphy.. such a beautiful day.. Some town dogs came by to say Hi... we headed to the Artisian well to fill our water jug when Murphy got out he headed right for the beach. stood in the water waiting for us to throw him a stick...it was a bit cold to say the least, but since the sun warmed the car up we threw some driftwood for him, he was in his glory.. didn't seem to mind the cold at all... Lunch at the Villiage Inn..Cheryl the owner remembered us...everyone in town is so friendly and welcoming.
Rocky was going to do some wind sailing either in Corny or the Beach in Herbster..Beth thinking Herbster because of the wind direction...so after lunch we headed there.. he wasn't there...so we went home and took a nap...
After my nap I got up and brought my knitting outside. I had been so proud at not having made any mistakes and then I found one...I did row5 instead of 3 in the pattern.. so I unknitted 2 rows and re did them... ..Steve got up and we headed for Herbster beach.. Rocky wasn't there so we went to their place..Beth was right behind us...Rocky went to the Corny Beach. with out have cell phone service there is no way of communication...Beth was really tired from working all day so just wanted to crash...so we came home and fixed hamburgers and baked beans...simple dinner... Worked on my knitting and found I had dropped a stitch..with this aran pattern I didn't think I could salvage it..but steve was encouraging me so I contincued on instead of giving up, I picked up the dropped stitch with the crochet hook and worked it up to the row I was on unknitted yet again 2 rows crossed my fingers and started knitting again, It worked!!! The lantern light just wasn't enough to keep knitting so I stopped for the night.
We listened to the radio- Prairie Home Companion.. so different listening to programs on the radio compared to watching tv... I found we communicate more ..Steve is so relaxed up here and happy... the wood diddley was back so we sent murphy out to flush it ...we didn't see it take off but he sure did! Very entertaining..
