It rained during the night…nothing better to be in bed and hearing it rain.

I got up at 5:30… sun is up…sitting here typing looking out at the tall evergreens …nothing better!!

We hadn’t had any showings yet so hoping things will happen this week… we worked on putting cedar mulch around the back landscaping before we left… looked really nice… I do love our backyard…it is so private..

It was overcast…supposed to rain on and off all day.
I cleaned out the pantry cupboard to make room for the large box of things I brought from home..I was worried I wasn't going to fit everything in there but there was some -wasted space … nice to get it re-organized (always a continuing process) and good to  see what I actually have…
I called over to Beth and Rocky’s around 8:30…Rocky answered and said Beth was on her way over…he was working at Sawgrass today…which is a development in Cornucopia on the Lake…very exclusive homes/cabins ..Rocky takes care of the trees there.

Beth got here soon after I hung up.  I started to make some coffee and then remembered the Christmas presents Pat and Vonnie had sent along with us…one was a krups box…I sent her out to get it…thought it would be fun for her to use… and I have never used one myself, so fun for me too…she opened it and it was full of presents…we got a good laugh about that…there was a pretty sweater and lots of other great things …Pat and Vonnie never disappoint on the present factor!!

She was working in Corny today at a remodel which she said was a real challenge…so proud of my Master Electrician!  Later she was running with Sarah out at Lost Creek…I have been there and remember walking was  a real challenge!!

After she left we went to Iron River for some groceries and stopping at the Artesian well.

I am really into my book and read most of the way…

The grocery store was as frigid as ever…but I had on my thick sweatshirt… it will take awhile to get used to where things are in the store.

We stopped for lunch at the A&W… it was fun sitting in the car and getting our meal delivered on a tray… the car hop was close to our age …which seemed fitting…

No Teenburgers anymore…just the papa burger…I had a Mozerella cheese burger with tomato/bacon/lettuce and a special sauce…and of course a frosty mug of root beer, plus my date paid!

I had  made some kombucha for Tom when I visited him… I text him to see how it turned out…he text back and said he was apprehensive to do the next step… so I went up the hill to get better service to call him…

I told him what to expect and if the baby had formed from the Scoby things would be good… he text later and said he had a nice baby and had a question on what to put the scoby’s into…so glad it was working for him…the couple yrs I have been making it I only had one time it didn’t work out…and that was because I got tap water involved…chlorine kills the scoby.

I took my rings off and dropped one into the vent on the floor...I got the screwdriver out and Steve instructed me on how to use it… hard to be patient with men sometimes….since I had it off I cleaned out the grass and dirt in there...

It was a good day to read and nap… Steve went out and got the lawnmower ready
and drove it up to the trailer between the downpours.

I hadn’t heard from our realtor so I text her to see if she had been receiving my texts…then I e-mailed her….. course the service is so hit or miss in the trailer the e-mail didn’t go through… hope everything is okay with her…

Got a text from Mary…she always shares interesting things she is learning in school… this one was in her Psychology book that helping people who have a problem with debilitating fear can be accomplished with experiences of joy..it is less of a problem, or at least easier to overcome.  On to say that joy is incompatible with fear.  She thought that was really cool if taken with a Christian perspective.. When we have that deep inner spiritual joy fear is not there.  So very true!!!

Steve wanted to take a ride around the block to see how things were with all the rain so we did. The Flagg River wasn’t that high…which was good and Flagg river Rd wasn’t washed out……

We got back and I fixed soup again for supper… it was enough for us..I had been chewing on the Keebler double chocolate chunk cookies all afternoon…why did I buy them???? But I haven’t really been that bad…there still is over ½ the package left!

Steve looked outside and even though it was raining the sun was peeking through…I went out and took some pictures…it was beautiful!
Sun shining on trees to the East

Sunset to the West

Sunset over our home
Red sky at night Sailors delight!
and to finish off the evening a Rainbow
