It seemed like we were never going to get up here!!
First thing on our mind was readying the house to put on the market… we made the decision to list it June 1st we started May 1st and it took a good month of sorting, tossing, donating , fixing… we planned to leave as soon as we signed the papers…but plans don’t always work out.

We had our dear friend, Gary’s funeral to attend Saturday the 7th and we were going to leave right from Shakopee..but decided to come home and get a good nights sleep and leave Sunday morning ..when we got home from Gary’s funeral we had a message that Steve’s Aunt Eleanor  had passed away..her  funeral would be on Wed. and Steve was asked to be Pallbearer.  Another delay… so hoping God doesn't call anymore of our dear friends or family  home this week, we would leave after the funeral.

We stayed for the luncheon…good hot dish I must say.. the car was pretty much packed except for the cooler and suitcases and dog.  We were on the road by 1:15…
We did stop at Casey’s just for something to drink and snack.

I took over driving when we turned off on 23 at Sandstone… there was road construction but just a small stretch that slowed me up, otherwise smooth sailing..
Steve had his nap and took over at Hwy 4 going over to WI…

 The weather is beautiful…
We have not been to our land since March and after not being there for so long I was really wondering what the trailer would look like… plus the window was still leaking and Beth had stopped and replaced the wash cloth we put on the window sills...once that I knew of and she said it was soaked … so my thoughts of wet paneling, dead flies… and a critter invasion… was learing in the back of my mind.

We arrived at 6pm… the grass was calf high ..some of the apple trees were  still in full bloom… I opened the door to the trailer and was pleasantly surprised…the only thing was all the tree trimming stuff on the floor and bed, outdoor table, and lounger inside… I quickly moved them outside and started unloading boxes as Steve brought things in.

I did sweep up some flies but everything was in good shape…the wash cloth in the window sill was dry…yea!

I went out and got the trail cam sd card… unfortunately the batteries had died and there was nothing new on it…I did have 8 AA batteries so I replaced them and put it back up…

I then went for a go for a walk…I put jeans on and got my hiking boots on and tucked my pants into my socks…cute!
I rubbed dryer sheets over my skin to see if it worked for mosquito repellent and went out.  I rubbed dryer sheets over my skin to see if it worked for mosquito repellent and went out.

There were a few mosquitos that landed on me but not bad… the trees looked good…some baby apples were starting to form..

The phone had 1x right in front of the trailer so I sent a text to Mary to check on Ron…he wasn’t home from work yet but had called and said he was in less pain because of his tooth…sure hope he is on the mend.

I came in and fixed some soup for supper… neither of us were that hungry…I started a Lisa Scottaline book Pam had given me…I got into it right away….

Steve ate and went to bed…of course Murphy was already there… I read for awhile but went to bed around 9:30… so nice to be finally here…
Tomorrow lawn mowing and a visit to Iron River.
